Tyler is a current senior at the Colorado School of Mines studying mechanical engineering while minoring in electrical engineering. He is a non-traditional student with a previous career in custom furniture building and luthiery (that’s stringed instrument building). Since returning to college, he has rekindled a passionate flame for learning, the knowledge it brings us, and the pursuit of being all that we can be. Throughout his years at Mines, he has been lucky enough to apply his education to such projects as designing and sending atmospheric analyzers to low orbit, undergraduate research in hydrogen compression, designing intercooled photovoltaic cells, and much more. With so many opportunities to apply his education, he leaves time to practice the art of music as a classical guitarist and pianist. He is excited to share with you his passion for education and the personal transformations it can facilitate.
